It is a new year, and although the world is suffering from a major pandemic, we need to take a moment, or two out of our days to remember that there are more demons out there to fight than just this horrible virus going around.
Cancer has affected each one of us, in one form or another. Be it a family member, a friend, a teacher… the next-door neighbor… or possibly the friend of a friend… Either way, we have all heard about this horrible disease.
The Fantasy Faire in Second Life has been a major supporter of the Relay For Life organization for research into finding a cure for this extremely diverse demon. An illness that takes hundreds, if not thousands of people every week… who knows, maybe it’s every day by now.
Cancer took my real-life partner’s father away from us… and I will be sharing more on how our family is dealing with that, after a couple years of “death recovery”… but, for now, I wanted to let you know of this event… dates, times, and direct you to the right information… and then, in a couple of days, I will be back to share some amazing photos, that I am 100% sure that I will be able to show you.
The artists, creators, and organizers, always do an amazing job and I have no doubt that this year will be just as amazing as past years, or maybe even better.
