We’ve come a long way from where we began

We've come a long way from where we began

One of the tasks that I sign up for, every single year, for the Fantasy Faire, would be the “Why I Relay” segment.

It is almost always about my family. And there is no need to change that, since after losing my father in law last year… January 1st, 2018… I can find no better reason to relay than him. Or, every mother, father, daughter, son… grandparent.. friend. Stranger on the bus. The neighborhood mailman…

I relay because one day, I would like to know that I was a part, in one way or another, in helping to find a cure for all forms of cancer.

I want to leave this world, knowing that through donations, volunteering, word of mouth through blogging, that I will have done, everything I could possibly have done, to try and help to find a cure, and if not a cure, then a less evasive treatment, to help people fight, and survive.

I always set my blog posts to a song, and this one song, that I love… Till I see you again… says it perfectly.

Dad is gone. He fought hard… and in the end, he died from rare complications that developed due to his form of Leukemia.

I can’t wait to see him again… One day, when it’s my time.

And as Wiz says…

So let the light guide your way hold every memory
As you go and every road you take will always lead you home

The location of this photo is from the Sanguinely Garden portal, in the Firelands!

Make sure to stop by and see all the beautiful sims.

Also, follow my Flickr stream. I will be posting more Fireland Portals there. There are many so I will post a link to each one on Flickr.
