We live in crazy times, don’t we? Already the crazy covid virus has changed and mutated, and for some odd reason, the government feels that it is safe to start sending out children back into the cesspool known as high school. Well, I am homeschooling my children.
I am at war with myself over this. On one hand, it’s important for our children to interact with other kids but, on the more sane hand, I do not want my child to become ill. So, the overprotective, paranoid mother wins the fight.
It’s not like my oldest child in school is suffering on the education side of things. She does all the work herself, and she is on the honour roll. So, at least we are safe there. And, I finally allowed my kids to join public chatrooms online… yes, I lived in a bubble where I believed my children followed the rules and didn’t use the internet where we could not see what they were doing. Well, we can pretend that I believed that, at least for their benefit. So, they have interaction that way.
I just want my children to be safe, and hopefully, have a chance at a life where Covid19 isn’t a part of their everyday life. Don’t you?
