Normally I do not do smoking photos but, K&S are a part of this round of, anyBody… and they had a sample available to the bloggers, so I decided to try it out.. the cigarette didn’t fit my hands but, I had a bunch of them by Genesis Labs, sooo… I just switched them out but, I used the poses for this post… How does it look?
I do not smoke in the real world.. I have too many opinions on this, and since I know many of you are smokers, I think it best I just say, I do not do it… and leave it at that. lol…

This is not a short post.. I am about to explain what happened last week in world. If you are not interested, I suggest that you skip to the end for all your fashion information.
The reason I am writing about this now is after some encouragement to make it public, since not everyone is on plurk.
Please be crystal clear … I do not want anyone to message her, nasty comments about what she said to me. It’s over, I am just writing out my feelings on the “event”. I know many of my faithful readers, and many of my family members will want to say something to her.. but, I am begging you.. Don’t.
I am only explaining what happened, and why I was so upset last week. As it affected my real life health, and mental well being.
And for those out there that say, “it’s only second life” or “it’s just a game”.. I invite you to read this article I found by accident only moments ago… It’s an old one but, still relevant.
Approx. June 26/27th I sent a link to a pose creator, sharing with them a blog post I made about our home, a place that once in a while, I open up to the public to take photos and such, and I was sharing with them, that I was using one of their poses as a part of my beach project.. It was a “scene” shot, so I was using the prop as.. well a prop.
This ended up being a really bad idea.
The person did not react the way most.. if not all.. creators I have had contact with over the years…… no.. this is what was said… I will share the snapshot of the convo as it progressed..

In response to this.. Not only did she freak out about me not saying I blogged her, she went on to accuse me of copying her.
I assure you, I did not copy her. I opened a bunch of boxes that were in my “beach settings” folder, in my objects folder, and noticed that I had the box for the sandcastles.. that was it.
As a blogger, I am constantly joining groups to receive a gift, or get into events, or whatever reason.. I join event groups, and attend hunts, and well hell you should see my overly non unpacked gacha items… I have items that were gifts, hunt items, freebies, and gachas from as far back as 2010.

Those are gachas.. some of them.. that I have not yet unpacked.. the first one is more recent items but, not even a complete list.. and the second was started at the bottom of my rares to show you the age of them….. So, as you see.. I have a serious issue with not unpacking things.
Or throwing them away, lol….
Anyway… The reason I waited this long to make this all uber public is because, I needed to calm down.
It seems that lately, the defense mechanism of ppl in second life is to accuse people of doing wrong things to cover for their own wrong doings.
I have had time to calm down, and in hind sight, I suppose I could have said, “I blogged something you created”, or something in the kind… however, I said what I always do.. “new blog post to share with you, i hope you get a chance to check out the video as well!”
This is something I say to everyone that I have blogged. It wasn’t rude, or intrusive.. nothing bad at all.
As a person in Second Life, in a sea of many different cultures, personality, social orders.. No one can really afford to be rude to each other. Ok, I get it, she was confused but, if that is how she responds to someone when confused, and then how she behaves when she is called out for being a “jerk” to someone she cannot see, and doesn’t know, which let’s face it, it’s a nice word considering what she said to me, I would hate to see how she treats people face to face in the real world.
Part of me wants to say, she was having a bad day, and took it out on me… but, if that was all it was… she could have easily have said that.. She could have come to plurk, and expressed that it was a mistake, and apologized, to which I would have as well, for the confusion. She didn’t though.. If anything she made herself look worse by name calling, belittling myself and my real life sister inlaw whom did contact her but, did not at all threaten her, or treat her any worse than she treated me. Yes, my sister called her a jerk, and told her she was acting like an asshole. Doesn’t sound like a “henchmen” as the lady called her, now does it? She logged on to her original account, and this is the message she sent. And, no worries, she got a reply! The lady logged onto an alt to send this to my sister.
This could have been settled by a simply apology.. but, it wasn’t. I ended up having to block her on plurk because she began harassing me.
I really do not want to think she is a bad person… but, what am I suppose to think?
And I should mention that, at the time of this issue.. she was still advertising her store in her profile, and she still had her MP store up. So, how was I suppose to know that at the time of posting, she was closed? And “forgot” to close her MP store?
Well, I have now learned that when I send links to creators, to include that I blogged them.. So, I guess that is a benefit.. but, I will not stop blogging older items, or even items from stores that are long gone because, I think it is important to share the people that got us to where were are now in the fashion / building world of second life… It took one person to put the idea of mesh into someone else’s head, and look where we are now… maybe that person is no longer in second life… does that mean we forget them? No.. I personally think that it is important to remember the past, along with the present while we prepare to see what is coming next.
So.. in closing.. to that woman, I am sorry for my part in this.. I see that it could been seen as confusing , out of the blue but, in the end, I was a fan, and I wanted to share something I thought would make you smile.. but, I was wrong. Way wrong.. Oh well.. moving on.
I wish you would have taken the grown up approach but, it’s fine.. All people have different ways of dealing with things, and that was yours… And THIS is mine.
I am no longer a fan but, that is ok. I have another Lyrium store I can stalk.. and she is so much nicer, as a blogger and pose creator herself, she understands how important blogging is to me, and that is all that is important..
Thank you to the people that talked to me on this subject.. In plurk, and on Facebook.. your words and encouragement to share this post, helped alot.. I am glad that I took the week to just chill. I am sure you think I am excited, or upset.. but, I assure you, I am not. I honestly do care.. but, in the end… I know who I am.. I know I meant zero malice, and I know that I did not do what she accused me of. In the end, it’s her word against mine but, really.. I know the truth.. Now, off to blog. Bye!
PS: Maybe taking up smoking in this post, was a foresight? lol
